So many temptations, so little time. But let’s take a closer look into what a woman may have been tempted with lately…
I’m talking really, really, divine, dark chocolate of the finest quality. I am of the mind that if there is indeed an opportunity for the consumption of very good, dark chocolate, one would be a fool NOT to eat it. Let’s just say it, then. Good dark chocolate is for eating. And it’s not a choice. It’s instinct. Survival instinct. Therefore it cannot be labeled a temptation.
A beautiful MAC Lipstick Display?
One would have to have the verbal skills of the current bumbling U.S. president (or the current level of tact that Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen have) to let one of these slip by without taking advantage of the opportunity. Hmmm. I think something that you MUST do to improve your very soul (like buying several MAC lipsticks in the same half hour) cannot be labeled a temptation. Ergo, it must be a necessity. Yes, indeed. Participating in a MAC lipstick buying frenzy could NOT be temptation. Just good, smart, healthy living.
Normally, I may be inclined to put this one into the “temptation” category. And naturally, the connotation of the word temptation is that it should be resisted. NOT to resist temptation could, after all, result in a person losing a rib bone or something… Anyhow, tonight I dispel the idea that a weekend romp in Vegas is a temptation. Especially since I just received an invitation that includes THREE free nights at Treasure Island (I’ve stayed there several times & love that the Starbucks is just down the elevator and to the left across from the Cirque theatre) AND free meals at the wonderful buffet there, AND free money in the casino… So it would be like TOTALLY STUPID not to go! It’s been, like, an entire year since my hands have embraced those dice at the craps tables and yelled out “baby needs shoes!” Free hotel? Free food? Time to hang out with Lady Luck? Nope. Not temptation….
What’s your biggest, most recent temptation???
The white “Avril” Matt & Nat bag at Sole Addiction has been calling my name. So far, I’ve resisited. So far.
