OK. I’m not sure I’ve ever said this about a book without reading it. I don’t like the O.J. book. Thirteen years ago when the whole O.J. trial happened, I SKIPPED university classes to watch it. University is expensive. I’m telling you, over the years, I didn’t miss very many classes. (And anyhow, how embarrassing to be called AT HOME by your University Prof who totally knows about your pop-culture-obsessional-issue.) Anyhow, in my humble opinion, he - O.J. -totally did it.
Go online and look at the transcripts if you think you need to read something else about it… This whole book thing feels OVERRATED. And I have to admit I was pleased to see that he’d been arrested in Vegas for the “armed robbery” thing. We’ll see how THAT gong show shapes up.
So O.J.’s overrated. Here are a few things that are underrated. I’m sure the world would be much less without the following list. Much less.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta. He’s almost as ridiculously cool as Anderson Cooper.![]()
Black liquid eyeliner.
What can I say. I love makeup as much as anything.
Bigelow Handcream - the mint Vitamin E kind. Delish.
Kicking Horse Kick Ass Coffee.
(Don’t misunderstand - Starbucks is my fave. But Starbucks gets tons of press… I don’t see enough of K.A.)
Flannel Sheets. Obviously the reality that I live in a place where it’s very wintry for five months of the year helps.
An afternoon reading magazines. Vanity Fair, Cosmogirl, Vogue, Elle, Maxim…
Miniature trolls. I brought one with orange hair to every University Exam.
I’m convinced it helped me get my degree with distinction.
Happy Bunny.
Because he says the stuff we want to say but can’t.
Librarians. One named Sherry Nasedkin is particularly cool. But I’ve never met one who wasn’t excellent and interesting.
Pistachios and chocolate covered macadamian nuts. Not covered with the cheap, waxy chocolate. The good chocolate.
The old Batman & Robin shows.
Max adores them. Me too.

She’s a great writer - has a fantastic blog - and looking at her list of books is just amazing… I wrote her to see if she’d do a Juicy Guest blog and got an autoresponse. Hopefully one day she’ll read my mail and then we can find out JUICY stuff about Meg…
