So. I’ve been harassing the Starbucks staff for years to find a solution to the coffee spilling out of the top of the cup. It ends up all over the car. Some coffee chains (of which I am not as fond…. ) have good sticky stickers that won’t come off - not even over speed bumps. In the past, all that Starbucks would offer were the clear, round stickers which barely made it out of the parking lot before coming loose.
ANYHOW… This weekend I’m at a Starbucks inside a Chapters Indigo store and I get to the counter (in my pre-latte fog) and there are these beautiful little green plastic stick things. Not stickers. Sticks. With a fabulous mermaid at the top. So I’m half comatose, waiting for my latte… and staring at these plastic stick things… and it dawns on me what they’re for! They’re for keeping the coffee INSIDE the to-go cup… and away from the fabric of my car seats.
They fit perfectly. And look all groovy-mermaidish, too… (& who doesn’t appreciate a good mermaid… except, I guess, Wendy from Peter Pan…) I don’t think a person can ask for much more than that, can they? If you can’t find any at your neighbourhood Starbucks it’s probably because I took most of them. I was so excited I had to grab a few so I could give impromptu demonstrations to random strangers on the street…. If you’re in need of one, call me.
We don’t have those yet!! I am so excited to see them. Aidan wants to let you know that he loves the new carmel frappacino with extra whip cream.
