martini calories

If a person has a martini, whilst they are sipping their perfect “shaken, not stirred” elixir, it would almost be unethical or immoral (or some kind of bad thing) to take time away from the simple enjoyment and instead be contemplating how they can burn the extra caloric intake.

A martini (with no olive) is approximately 140 calories.  According to my research, the following choices are available to you should you want to burn those extra calories:

A)  one hour of heavy duty kissing and one hour of writing

B)  one hour of washing dishes (you might have to do your neighbor’s dishes, too) and 20 minutes of talking on the phone

C)  standing for 20 minutes, washing your car for 10 minutes, & walking (2 mph) for 20 minutes

D)  playing guitar for 40 minutes

E)  jogging for 30 minutes

As a side note, blogging must burn an amazing amount of calories.  I can’t even imagine how many.  Surely more than running a marathon or something…

One of my recent diet rules is to limit myself to water when dining out. Restaurants, coffee places, pubs, they all add “special ingredients” to drinks to make your drink tastier… at the expence of “a couple” of extra calories. Definetly a no-no. :) From now on, water only.

Ah… I knew there would be a sensible reader somewhere to tell me my dreams of writing & smooching for a few xtra minutes were futile!

Thumbs up for the sensible reader remark :) There’s a nice idea: why not buy myself a “sensible reader ™” T-shirt? You could get a “futile writing” one and we could end up getting a cup of coffee after blogging hours. :)
