Juicy Top 10 #3: Long Term To Do…

Top 10 things I’ve had on my “to do” list for at least one year.

#10.  Dust, clean, & repaint all baseboards in my house.  Yawn, I know.  But an evil necessity.  (One that will probably be on the list, unfinished, ad infinitum.  Baseboards suck.)

#9.  Follow one bloody recipe from start to finish without getting creative, defiant, or angry.

undies.jpg#8.  Buy all new underwear.

#7.  Finish “Headhunter” by Timothy Findlay.

#6.  Go to the grocery store and buy at least four of those exotic fruits dragonfruit.jpgI don’t even know how to eat.  Then figure them out and eat them.

#5.  Break down and watch “Empire Records” (which my friend swears is the BEST film ever produced… empire.jpgbut she also walks around saying “Do you choose CAKE or DEATH?” and she returns lipstick after she’s used half of it and she walks through malls doing very LOUD impressions of Tom Jones “It’s not unusual to be loved…”).

#4.  Spend an entire day writing (sans interruptions)… I might have to go to Iceland to pull this one off.

#3.  Wear false eyelashes for absolutely no reason.  And then flutter them all day long.

#2.  Walk into Tiffany & Co., pretend I can afford the bling and try the biggest, gaudiest, most expensively extravagant rings on.

And the #1 thing that’s been on my long term “to do” list is to spend an entire day in a Starbucks in a big city and secretly scribble all the conversation bits I hear.  I know it’s weird.  And freakishly voyeuristic.  BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE THE JUICE????  starbucks.jpg

Ooooooh good list!! I need to come up with a top ten list, too!

And I’ve never seen Empire Records, either–so when you watch, let us know what you think!!

I Love you list Deanna. I’m with you on the “baseboards and exotic fruit” for sure. The kids and I often look at the fruit and wonder if we should. We could always “google it” to find out how to eat it. I’m sure that Starbucks Conversation Bits would make a good read.

Rhonda… You aren’t supposed to be doing a thing except rough drafts! Or does that start Monday? But I’m glad you stopped by…
