We’re on our way to a Thanksgiving weekend in Kelowna. So I shouldn’t be UNTHANKFUL because I’m stuck in a town, population 800, highway closed because A DYNAMITE TRUCK hit a GAS TANKER. (not even joking). And I shouldn’t be UNTHANKFUL because the hotel room has no heat. And I shouldn’t be UNTHANKFUL because some stranger on the elevator decided that because I was stuck and he was stuck, and he had a deluxe room that we should spend the night together in his hot tub. When I told him that my husband and two sons would be really excited, his enthusiasm dimmed.
- How about, then, I’m thankful that my family is safe and we didn’t happen to be driving IN BETWEEN the dynamite & gas trucks…
- And I think I’ll say thanks that my sister will be cooking the dinner and not me… (thus little chance of burned potatoes like at MY house)…
- And I’ll also say thanks that my little one will want to snuggle tonight because if we don’t we’ll be blocks of ice tomorrow. (It snowed today - very cold)…
- And finally, I’ll say thanks that some stranger thought I looked liberal enough to think I’d hop into his room after chatting with him for approximately 4.5 seconds.
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving!!!
It was because you are teh HOTT! (as they say in the internets…)
Have a great thanksgiving! I’ll be giving thanks that my parents are coming to visit, that my puppy is wonderful, that my awesome husband got me another wonderful puppy yesterday, and that I’m alive to be thankful. That is pretty awesome.
Enjoy the unburnt dinner!
