I don’t watch the Simpson’s. But the boys really, really wanted to go to the Simpson’s movie. So yesterday afternoon (not entirely sure what I was in for) I found myself at the theatre with a total of four small boys. It was inane. It was ridiculous. And it was totally hysterical. Max, for days, will be borrowing a line and then bursting into laughter. “Thank you, boob-lady!”
Also yesterday was a very, very cool television thing on how Candace Bushnell’s Sex & The City characters made their way from newspaper articles into a book and finally into my favorite t.v. show of all time. Seriously. When that series was done, I wished that I had worn waterproof mascara (not just because I was overcome that Carrie & Big finally figured out what they were doing). I bawled because it was honest and smart and totally brilliant and then over. Anyhow, it was most excellent to see how very powerful four female fictional characters could literally come alive. Watching it made me want to dream a little bigger…
And what about today?
mini-golf @ muskoseepi park
mini-pizzas @ east-side marios
mini-lego cars for the frogs @ deannas
Ah yes. The Frog Days of Summer…
Oh my god, that is the most perfect day…
Mine was:
-finish book (Kate Atkinson’s “Behind the Scenes at the Museum” - totally lost in the Lennox family for three days)
-finish work (four-hour shift at Sylvan - still have to pay the bills!)
-finish puppy training (HA!)
-finish beer
Not too bad, I guess!
