Deleting The Life Spam

Woke up this morning & on one of my email accounts, I had like ten spam messages.  I know that’s not a huge amount… lots of people get way more.  But I promptly deleted it -

And this weekend, I had a chance to delete some other SPAM.  I’m not sure if everyone else experiences the same life spam as I do, because I totally realize that most NORMAL humans probably don’t walk around with tons of character ideas floating around their frontal lobes and a plethora of article ideas vying for a voice in their cerebral cortexes, but EVERYONE has too much spam in their brains with lists of things to do, schedules to adhere to, worries about budgets, etc. etc.  (Let it be known that I am not admitting publicly to ABNORMALNESS here… & also that writers don’t necessarily carry more spam that other professions - just different spam.)

So.  I found the solution.

Enroll children in skiing and snowboarding lessons at Big White Ski Resort.

Once there, get offspring geared up and with their instructors.

Purchase over-sized latte.

Turn off cell-phone.

Quiet all voices, all worries, all schedules by taking a walk in the snow, several rides on the gondola, some minutes on a stool in the coffee shop… etc. etc.

Voila… Life Spam Deleted for a 2 hour span.

Sometimes EVERYONE needs a quiet time out.  Now.  Back to those characters & the wonderful spam they make in my head…

p.s. As of 10:30 p.m. on the 8th of Feb., I have a niece called Ella.  She is one of the most beautiful creatures I’ve ever seen.

Great Idea! After a day of teaching I need some time to zone out or I will overload, have a brain freeze and stop at all green lights on the way home. (That’s better than running the red lights but I need my spam free time before I leave the school or I am dangerous!)

Congratulatios! Have fun holding your cute little niece!
